INKwell Workshops are structured with today’s busy lifestyles in mind, taking place on Saturdays, lasting one full day.

They are all located in the luxury of Fitzpatrick's Hotel, Killiney, Co. Dublin.

From bestselling authors, participants will learn the nuts and bolts of writing, plus how each author started writing, how they found a publisher and their tips for getting into print.

Authors will cover areas such as successful characterisation, dialogue, plotting and planning, as well as essential fiction writing basics such as ‘show don’t tell’ and avoiding clichés.

Each afternoon is dedicated honing and developing your skills through practical writing exercises designed to mine your creativity and illustrate key techniques. Numbers are small in each workshop to ensure all participants get the very best from the facilitating authors. 

Every workshop is facilitated by at least two authors to enable participants to get the very best advice available, finding out about different writing styles, different approaches to plotting and planning and the many different ways authors write.

Places are strictly limited, so early booking is essential.

We advise all participants to familiarise themselves with the authors' work before each course.
