The Inkwell Group was founded by Vanessa O’Loughlin in 2006 as Inkwell Writers Workshops. In answer to the needs of writers, what began as a single season of workshops has grown to a fully formed publishing consultancy bringing some of the top names in Irish publishing into one place.
Inkwell was born from Vanessa’s appreciation of how influential published authors can be on new writers, and the guidance and inspiration they can offer through consultation and face to face support. Whether kick-starting your own creativity or helping you polish your manuscript, our aim is to take you a step closer to your goal.
Now Inkwell assists hundreds of new writers take the next step on their journey – and takes many of them through to publication. We also organise events at festivals and work with organisations such as Dublin UNESCO City of Literature to develop literary events to showcase Irish writing talent.
At www.writing.ie we give Irish authors a global platform and provide essential tips from Irish authors, helping new writers improve their work. Writing.ie is the world’s first national writing resources website and provides invaluable information to writers worldwide.
