Elizabeth Rose Murray

Elizabeth Rose Murray (represented by Sallyanne Sweeney of Mulcahy Associates, London) lives in West Cork where she fishes, grows her own vegetables and lives for adventure and words. As a content writing and social media specialist, Elizabeth has been heavily involved in Ireland’s literature and arts scene and has blogged professionally for many of the country’s most prestigious festivals including Listowel Writers’ Week, Cork International Short Story Festival, Dublin Writers Festival, Dublin Theatre Festival, Dublin Book Festival, and more. Elizabeth provides social media workshops in arts and writing centres including Crescent Arts, Galway and the Irish Writers’ Centre, Dublin, and provides blogs and content for Writing.ie and Writers Web TV. In her role as social media consultant, she has assisted many writers in improving their online presence. Her clients include Lia Mills, Catherine Dunne, Padraig O’Morain and Bernie McGill.

When it comes to writing, Elizabeth has been shortlisted in the following competitions: Francis MacManus 2013 (Short Story), Penguin/RTE Guide 2013 (short story), Powers/Irish Times 2013 (flash fiction), Writing.ie/Anam cara 2013 & 2012 (flash fiction), Writers & Artists/Anam Cara 2013 (flash fiction) and Aesthetica Creative Works 2011 (poetry). In 2012, she performed in Ciudades Paralelas: Station, a live writing installation at the Cork Midsummer Festival. She is currently completing a Young Adult novel and working on a performance project that fuses poetry and music.
