The Mslexia Children’s Novel Competition

The Mslexia Children’s Novel Competition closes in less than a month. Have you got your entry ready to go? The deadline is 10 September 2012.

The first prize is £5,000, and the competition is for full-length fiction novels of at least 30,000 words in all genres for children of an age to read for themselves and young adults. The competition will be judged by award-winning children’s author Malorie Blackman, literary agent specialising in children’s books for the Greenhouse Literary Agency Julia Churchill and Julia Eccleshare, children’s books editor at the Guardian newspaper. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get your writing noticed.

If you’re still honing your novel, there are three specially commissioned children’s novel writing workshops, devised by Ann Coburn to encourage and inspire, available for free online. Visit www.mslexia.co.uk/novelworkshop

Full details of how to enter, including rules, FAQs and eligibility, are on our website at www.mslexia.co.uk/novelcompetition.
