- Do you want to start a blog but are not sure how to do it?
- Are you uncertain as to the benefits a blog and online presence can bring to you as a writer?
- Do you have a blog which you would like to take to the next level, develop into a successful freelancing career, or use to get noticed by agents and publishers or to build your profile as an author?
Whether you are just starting out or have been blogging for a while, whether your writing career is just beginning or you are ready to launch your new book, this workshop will provide essential guidance, advice and practical tips to help you get your blog really working for you and open doors to other writing opportunities.
In four specific modules, participants will be given expert advice on creating and managing your blog, finding your niche and developing your brand as a writer, raising your profile and building an online platform for your writing, getting freelance writing work and managing and maximising your social network.
Each module will contain an email lecture packed with practical advice, information and links to related online reading resources. Each module will also require the participant to complete a practical exercise which will be returned to the tutor for review following which individual feedback will be given to the participant. It is recommended that the four modules be completed within an eight-week period to gain maximum benefit.
Please note that while technical advice and resources will be provided as part of the workshop material, the workshop does not extend to individual assistance with setting up a blog or troubleshooting problems with your existing blog.
