Vanessa Fox O’Loughlin is a regular guest at the Dalkey Creates Festival.
This year she will be giving a workshop on Saturday 30th November 2019.
Vanessa Fox O’Loughlin runs Inkwell and is a literary scout for Irish and UK agents and publishers. She also works with all the Irish publishers. Vanessa will discuss exactly what the industry is looking for at the moment, what’s hot and what’s not, as well as explaining the role of a scout, an agent and how best to submit your work. Vanessa will show you exactly what you need to do to attract a publisher, what should be in your first submission, and how you can build your author platform – and explain exactly what that is. She has her finger on the pulse of the book business and works across all genre to place the right manuscripts.
